    I like this haiga. That some have found it dark is intriguing. Objectively, the poem says what it is. That poets can evoke things with their words that didn’t “intend” is the great thing about it. Poetry is as much about the reader than it is about the writer.

      Thanks, Charles! I agree – it is always interesting that both reader and author often bring different perspectives to the table and that author intent really isn’t as important as the literary world once assumed it was.
